A Three Month Update

It is hard to believe that Chloe has been in our lives for three months already. She is simply a perfect fit for our family. She has developed a strong relationship with both of us and her brothers and just loves all the attention. She has a special place in her heart for her daddy... she just doesn't want to be away from him for very long.

We finally had the chance to travel to North Carolina for the Thanksgiving holiday for her to meet her Grandparents, Great Grandparents, Uncles, Aunts and all those Cousin boys. What a trip, she just warmed up to everyone. We love her dearly and feel so blessed. Everyone asks how she has transitioned.... well she has simply moved in to the Baker house and taken on the role of a princess...

The whole family visits Nanny (Great Grandmother) with MiMi (Grandmother) at the Glenbridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center during the Thansgiving holiday. Did you know that our Nanny was adopted too when she was a child?

One Month Update

Chloe is just doing wonderful! It's hard to believe that she has been with us for one month now! She is such a sweet girl and a blessing to us. She has really settled in and beginning to be the little princess we thought she would be. She really loves her brothers. We still can't take our eyes off of her... she is so cute. Her personality is one of fun, smiles, love and determination!

Chloe and Tracy pose for pictures.... they sure do look like each other :-)

Chloe loves to play with her brothers.

Update and Thank You

Chloe is such a blessing to us. We feel so touched by her. As new parents would be, we are just simply amazed by her. Her sweet smile and laughter lights us up every time. Her brothers are delighted to be around her and she is the same about them. She really enjoyed church this past Sunday. Well, of course she got a lot of attention... She is really transitioning extremely well, she goes to bed very easy at nap time and at night. She likes listening to the Lion King sound track when she lays down. She wakes up happy and smiles when we walk into her room.

We would like to thank all those who prayed for us and Chloe. We would also like to thank those who helped us in Mississippi during our trip to Wyoming. A special thanks goes out to the Robert and Brenda Benson for taking in two additional boys into their home (Kellan and Ryan). "We really owe you!" We would like to thank Dickie and Beverly Corder for their help and encouragement. We would also like to thank Leigh Lucas and Neddie Joye and Michael Tolleson for their help as well.

Robert would like to thank all those at American HealthTech for their support and encouragement and especially for the office decorations and gifts. You all make work fun!

Chloe is getting ready for Church.

The family arrives at Broadmoor Baptist Church for Chloe's first Sunday.

Our first day at home

Chloe had a big day. She finally met her other two big brothers and the dogs! She explored every drawer, cabinet and closet downstairs. She is very curious and I'm sure she will begin exploring the upstairs tomorrow. She also had a chance to meet a few neighbors and friends. She seems to be transitioning extremely well. She is almost always smiling and laughing.

Watching football with Daddy... Appalachian State beats Michigan 34 to 32! Biggest upset in college football history!

Chloe is cuddling with Mom... after her first day at home.

We are home!

After a very long day of travel on Friday (13 hours) we are finally home. It is really harder than you think to entertain a toddler on an airplane for 2.5 hours.... or in the Atlanta airport for 4 hours...they should give medals for that! Chloe was a real trooper though and did quite well. We are glad to be home and are looking forward to spending our first Saturday at home with Chloe. She has been exploring the house all morning.... more to come later.

Hanging out in the Spa

We are coming home!

We have been given the verbal to return home. We are on our way to Denver, CO tonight (Thursday, August 30th) and then we will catch a flight in the morning. We should arrive back in MS tomorrow night (Friday, August 31st) at 8:30 PM!

Enjoying the sunshine and pool

Chloe loves the pool. She really holds on tight though. Yes, it is another beautiful day in WY. We definitely do not miss the hot MS weather.

Another day of playing with Chloe in Cheyenne

We have enjoyed another beautiful day in Wyoming. The weather is so wonderful. We are still waiting for the final word/authorization from the Mississippi ICPC to return home. We still hope to be on our way home on Saturday. Chloe's personalty is really coming out. She loves music, does this cute little binky (pacifier) twist, walks with her hands behind her back, she laughs and smiles a lot and just loves attention.
